DESCRIPTION:
This is an excerpt from a song that lasts 17 years, a lullaby sung by the Earth to the Magicicada Brood X nymphs. I imagined turgid xylem flows and a dark web of recursive thought, nestled within each other, recursively. This song is, in timbre and form, an inversion of the sonic display of the adult insects, yet made entirely from their tymbal vibrations.
