"I was adopted. How is this relevant? It was 1958, an age of unfair social judgement and consequent secrecy. Until I was 18, I knew nothing of my true origins, then a change in UK law allowed me access to my original birth record for the first time. I discovered two things only; my mother's name, which unfortunately lead nowhere. And that I was born in Wimbledon, which lead to it becoming a very special place to me, and my football team for the past 45 eventful years. When Milton Keynes shamelessly franchised the original team (with the F.A.'s cursed blessing) in 2002, AFC Wimbledon was created, commencing a 9 year battle, from way down the English pyramid, to regain the rightful Football League place that was stolen from us. Although life has taken me some 250 miles up country since that great adventure, I remain a loyal member of The Dons Trust and we always try to get to games when they're in the north west. After everything they have given me, it seemed the least I could do to turn out a couple of tracks for them. Come on you Dons!"
